Magnetic Lock LZ Bracket in Oman | ZL Bracket for Inward Doors

Description

A ZL bracket lets you fit a magnetic lock to a door that opens inwards. It is a Z section and an L section used together. One carries the armature plate, the other supports the magnet. We stock the magnetic lock ZL bracket in Oman at our shop in Al Khuwair, Muscat.

When you need a ZL bracket

Stand outside the door. If it swings away from you, the magnet mounts flat under the frame head and no bracket is needed.

If it swings towards you, the frame head is on the wrong side of the leaf. The ZL bracket drops the magnet down and forward so the plate can still meet it squarely.

What’s included

The Z section, the L section and the fixing hardware. The magnetic lock and its armature plate are sold separately.

Fitting the ZL bracket

The L section fixes to the frame head and carries the magnet. The Z section fixes to the door leaf and holds the armature plate.

Set the magnet first, then adjust the Z section until both faces meet flat. The door must still close fully without the bracket fouling the frame.

Common questions

How do I know if my door needs one?
Open it while standing in the corridor or outside. A door that swings towards you is inward opening and needs this bracket.

Is an LZ bracket the same thing?
Yes. Suppliers in the region write it both ways. The industry term is ZL, from the Z and L sections it is built from.

What about a double door?
You need one set per leaf, so two for a pair. Send us the door details and we will confirm the quantity.

Can I use it on a glass door?
No. Frameless glass has nothing to bolt into, so a U bracket clamps over the leaf edge instead.
