Keypads, card readers and intercoms for gates and doors
An access control system decides who gets in, and keeps a record of it. We supply and install keypads, RFID card and tag readers, video intercoms and controllers for villas, compounds, offices and warehouses across Oman, from our shop in Al Khuwair, Muscat.
The point of access control over a handful of remotes is revocability. When a tenant moves out or an employee leaves, you cancel their credential in thirty seconds. With remotes, you either trust them to hand it back or reprogram the whole system.
Choosing an access control method

Most installations end up combining two: RFID for regular users, and an intercom for visitors and deliveries.
Standalone or networked?
A standalone controller sits at one door or gate and holds its own list of valid credentials. Cheap, straightforward, and adequate for a single entrance. Adding or removing a user means going to the device.
A networked system connects several entry points back to one controller or to software, so you manage every door from one place and can pull an entry log. Worth it once you have three or more entrances, or where you need to know who came and went.
For most villas and small compounds, standalone is the sensible choice. Do not pay for networked capability you will never configure.
Working with your gate
Access control is not a separate system from your gate — it is the input that triggers it. A card reader, keypad or intercom wires into the same control board as your remotes, so all of them open the same gate.
That means we can add access control to an existing installation without replacing the motor. If your gate already works and you simply want to stop handing out remotes, this is usually a half-day job. It pairs equally with our gate barriers for car park entrances.
Installation across Oman
A single entrance takes half a day. We survey the site, run the cable, mount and weatherproof the reader, wire it to the gate control board, then enrol the credentials and hand over the admin.
Weatherproofing matters more here than the spec sheets suggest. A reader mounted on a west-facing pillar takes direct afternoon sun plus dust, so we favour sealed units with proper IP ratings and shade the housing where the site allows. Common questions
Can I add access control to a gate I already have?
Usually yes. It wires into your existing control board, so the motor stays as it is.
What happens if the power goes out?
The gate keeps its manual release, so you can always get in or out by hand. Battery backup is available on most controllers.
Can I remove one person’s access without changing everyone’s?
With cards or tags, yes — delete that credential and the rest keep working. With a shared keypad code, no, you have to change the code for everyone.
Do you supply intercoms as well?
Yes, audio and video, wired to your gate so visitors can be admitted from inside the house.
