Match your receiver’s channels first. A two channel board never uses a third or fourth button, whatever handset you buy.

BFT Mitto or Mitto Cool: the battery split

Standard Mitto handsets, including the coloured Clear Ice, Sunrise and Vineyard cases, take a 23A cylindrical battery. Mitto Cool takes a CR2032 coin cell. Keep the correct spare for the handset you hold, since the two do not interchange.

Colour is a case, not a different handset

Clear Ice, Sunrise and Vineyard are the same electronics in different cases. Give each gate, household or staff group its own colour so handsets are told apart at a glance.

Rolling code, and why a cloning remote will not copy a Mitto

Every press sends a new code, and the receiver accepts only the next one it expects. A cloning remote cannot record and repeat that, and a fixed code receiver will not accept a rolling code handset. A new Mitto must be memorised at the receiver before it works.

BFT remote control Oman FAQ

How do I choose the right BFT Mitto remote?

Match channels to your receiver first, two or four, then choose standard or Cool by battery, 23A or CR2032. Colour is a case finish for telling handsets apart, not a different handset.

What is the difference between Mitto and Mitto Cool?

The battery. Standard Mitto handsets use a 23A cylindrical battery. Mitto Cool uses a CR2032 coin cell. The two are not interchangeable.

Will a universal remote copy my BFT Mitto?

No. Rolling code changes the signal on every press, so a cloning remote cannot record and repeat it, and a fixed code receiver will not accept it.

Do all four buttons work on a four button Mitto?

Only the channels your receiver has. A two channel board answers two buttons regardless of the handset, so send us your board model before ordering.

Do you program BFT remotes across Oman?

Yes, in all eleven governorates, with our engineers based in Al Khuwair, Muscat.
