Spare parts and accessories for automatic gates and doors

We hold remotes, photocells, control boards, flashing lights, loop detectors and mounting hardware in stock at our shop in Al Khuwair, Muscat. Most gate faults are not the motor — they are a dirty photocell, a failed capacitor or a control board that has taken a surge. Holding these parts in Muscat is why we can usually fix a gate the same day rather than ordering in from Europe.

    What we stock

Remotes and receivers. Handsets for BFT, NICE, CAME, Beninca, Roger, LIFE, SOMMER, Somfy, RIB, DEA, FAAC, Marantec and Centurion, plus universal handsets and add-on receivers. See our full gate remotes range.

Photocells. The infrared safety pair that stops a gate closing on a car or a person. When a gate starts refusing to close, a dusty photocell lens is the first thing to check — and in Oman that is most of the time.

Control boards. The board is the brain, and it is what usually dies after a power surge. Replacing the board is far cheaper than replacing the motor, and we stock them for the main brands.

Flashing lights. Mounted above the gate to warn that it is about to move. Required on commercial installations and worth having on any gate that opens onto a road.

Loop detectors. Buried in the road surface to sense a waiting vehicle. Essential on barriers, useful on any gate serving a busy entrance.

Mounting hardware. Rotating plates, arm holders, rack sections and brackets – the parts that get bent or lost.

    Rolling code or fixed code?

This is the thing people get wrong when buying a replacement remote.

A fixed code remote sends the same signal every time. Simple, and easy to copy – bring your working handset to the shop and we duplicate it while you wait.

A rolling code remote changes its signal on every press, which is far more secure and now standard on most brands. These cannot be cloned from another handset. Instead the new remote has to be programmed into the receiver on your gate, which usually means pressing a learn button on the control board.

If you are not sure which you have, bring the remote in. We can tell from the model number, and programme it either way in store.

    Getting the right part

Bring the old part, or a photo of it, and the model number from your motor. Gate hardware is not interchangeable between brands, and a photocell that looks identical may run on a different voltage.

If you do not know what your motor is, send us a photo on WhatsApp. The label is normally inside the cover or on the control box.

    Common questions

Can you copy my gate remote?
If it is a fixed code handset, yes, in store while you wait. Rolling code remotes cannot be copied but we can programme a new one to your gate.

My gate opens but will not close. What is wrong?
Nearly always the photocells – a dusty lens, a misaligned bracket, or an insect nest in the housing. Cleaning them fixes it more often than not.

Do you stock parts for motors you did not supply?
Yes. We carry parts for all the major European brands regardless of who installed the gate.

Can I fit a universal remote instead of the branded one?
Sometimes. Universal handsets work with many fixed code systems but not with every rolling code protocol. Bring the original in and we will tell you before you buy.
