Our lowest priced CAME swing gate kit is the AXI20DGS at OMR 268, a 24V twin kit for leaves up to 2 m and 200 kg. The KRONO twin kit is OMR 308 and the KRONO KR310D is OMR 310, both for 3 m and 400 kg. The ATS30AGS is OMR 414, the ATI A3000 is OMR 422, the AMICO is OMR 445 and the ATS50AGS is OMR 465. The ATI A5000 and the FROG underground kit are OMR 530 each.

The motor price is only part of the cost. These items change the final figure:

Linear, telescopic, arm or underground: four ways to move a swing gate

Linear motors such as the ATI, KRONO, AXI and AXO fix between the pillar and the face of the leaf and push it open with a screw. They are the usual choice for villa gates in Oman, and they suit most pillars with a normal hinge position.

Telescopic motors such as the ATS30AGS and ATS50AGS use a ram that slides out of the body. They suit gates where a long motor would look heavy, and the ATS50AGS takes a C dimension up to 200 mm.

Articulated arm motors such as the FERNI and the FAST fix on the inside face of the pillar and move the leaf through a folding arm. They suit deep pillars where a linear motor cannot fit, and the FERNI takes a C dimension up to 380 mm.

Underground motors in the FROG range sit in a box under each hinge and leave nothing on show, which suits a decorative gate or a new build.

Every underground motor needs a foundation box set in concrete and a drain from the box. A flooded box ruins the motor, so in wadi areas and on low driveways we plan the drain before we dig. The FROG motor is rated IP67 against dust and water, but standing water still shortens its life.

24V swing gate motor Oman or 230V: which suits your gate

A 24V motor cannot run on a 230V board, or the other way round. If you are replacing one motor of a pair, tell us the model on the label so we match the board.

Pillar depth and hinge position: measure before you order

Most failed installations in Oman come down to the pillar, not the motor. A linear motor needs a clear depth from the hinge to the inside face of the pillar, and too deep a pillar stops the leaf from opening to 90 degrees. An articulated arm motor needs a flat face on the pillar for its bracket. An underground motor needs space under the hinge for its box.

CAME remotes, photocells and safety for swing gates

Photocells stop a closing leaf before it touches a car or a child, and a flashing light warns people before the gate moves. A safety edge is worth adding where a leaf closes toward a wall or a footpath.

In practice, we mount the motors clear of standing water, in shade where we can, and we seal every cable entry against fine dust. Coastal sites in Sohar, Sur and Salalah add salt, which attacks hinges and pivots first, so grease them twice a year.

Should I choose a 24V or a 230V CAME swing gate motor?

A 24V motor such as the AXI, AXO, FTX or FROG-X gives soft stops and a high duty rating, and a battery board can be added on boards that support one. A 230V motor such as the ATI, ATS, KRONO or FERNI is simple and strong for long leaves, but it stops in a power cut.
