CAME 119G755A Barrier Gear Oman, Nylon Internal Crown for GARD 4
The CAME 119G755A is a nylon internal crown gear, a spare part for the gearbox of the CAME GARD 4 barrier. Replace it when the motor runs but the boom does not move, or when the barrier grinds or jumps. Match the code with your old gear before you order. In stock at our Muscat shop at OMR 25, and fitted by our engineers across Oman.
Description
The CAME 119G755A is a nylon internal crown gear, a replacement part for the gearbox of the CAME GARD 4 road barrier. It has teeth on both the outside and the inside ring, and it carries the drive from the motor to the boom. When it wears, the motor still runs but the boom stops, slips or jumps.
It is a spare part, not a complete product. Before you order, compare it with your old gear or with the part code in your barrier manual, because CAME uses different gears in different barriers.
What is the 119G755A internal crown gear?
A crown gear with internal teeth meshes with a smaller gear that turns inside it. The 119G755A sits in the barrier gearbox between the motor and the shaft that lifts the boom. Each time the barrier opens or closes, it takes the full load of the boom and its balance springs.
The gear is made of nylon, which the distributor listing describes as nylamid. A nylon gear runs quietly without heavy lubrication. It is also cheaper to replace than the motor or the shaft, and it is usually the first part to wear. That is by design: it is far cheaper to change a gear than a motor.
CAME 119G755A price in Oman and what you get
Price: OMR 25.000 per gear, in stock at our shop in Al Khuwair, Muscat.
| Included | Not included |
|---|---|
| One CAME 119G755A nylon internal crown gear | Fitting, quoted after we see the barrier |
| The pinion, shaft, bearings and seals | |
| Grease and gaskets for the gearbox |
If the gear has worn badly, the small gear that meshes with it may be worn too. We check both before we close the gearbox.
CAME GARD 4 spare parts: is this the right gear for your barrier?
The distributor listing names the 119G755A for the CAME GARD 4 barrier and its kits, KT GARD4 LED and KT GARD4 LEDS. We have not found a CAME manual that lists it for other models, so check before you buy.
| How to check | What to look for |
|---|---|
| The barrier label | The model name, GARD 4 or a GARD 4 kit |
| The spare parts list in your manual | The code 119G755A against the crown gear |
| The old gear itself | The same size, the same outer and inner teeth, the same centre hole |
| A photo sent to us | We compare it with the part in stock |
If you have a CAME G6000, a GARD 8 or an older barrier, send us the label and we find the right gear. Do not force a gear that does not match. A wrong gear wears in days and can damage the motor.
Signs your barrier gear is worn
- The motor hums or runs, but the boom does not move
- The boom moves in jerks, or stops part way
- A grinding or clicking noise comes from the cabinet
- The boom drifts down when it should stay up
- White nylon dust or chips lie inside the gearbox
Some of these signs can also come from a slack balance spring, a loose boom or a control fault. Our engineers test the whole drive first, so you do not pay for a gear you did not need.
CAME barrier repair Muscat: how we replace the gear
We isolate the power, release the boom and open the gearbox. Then we remove the old gear, clean out the nylon debris and check the pinion, the shaft and the bearings. We fit the new 119G755A, grease the gearbox to CAME guidance and close it. Finally we reset the limits and test the barrier with the boom on, through full open and close cycles.
We also check the balance springs. A boom that is out of balance makes the gear do work it was not designed for, and that is the most common reason a new gear wears early.
CAME barrier gear Oman: heat, dust and heavy use
Barriers at car parks, compounds and gated communities in Oman run hundreds of cycles a day, often in direct sun. Heat softens grease, and fine dust gets into any gear that is not sealed. Both speed up wear on a nylon gear.
| What wears the gear | What helps |
|---|---|
| A boom out of balance | Check the springs at every service |
| Dry or dusty grease | Clean and regrease the gearbox |
| A heavier boom or added lights | Rebalance after any change to the boom |
| Vehicles knocking the boom | Add photocells and a loop detector |
For a busy site, a service visit every six months catches a worn gear before the barrier stops.
