Rolling Shutter Tubular Receiver in Oman | Add Remote Control
A radio receiver that lets you run a rolling shutter from a remote instead of a wall switch. It wires between the supply and the motor, so a shutter that already works can be converted without touching the barrel. Built for tubular and central motors — side motors take a different controller. In stock in Muscat.
Description
A tubular receiver lets you run a shutter from a remote instead of a wall switch. It wires in between the supply and the motor and learns the remote codes. We stock the rolling shutter tubular receiver in Oman at our shop in Al Khuwair, Muscat.
Tubular motors, not side motors
This receiver is built for tubular and central motors. Those are the units that sit inside the barrel.
Side motors take a different controller. Tell us which motor you have and we will send the right one.
What a tubular receiver actually does
It sits in the line between the mains supply and the motor. A remote press closes the up or down circuit for you.
The motor itself does not change. Limits, torque and manual override all work exactly as before.
Keeping the wall switch
Most installs keep the switch and add the remote alongside it. That matters on a shopfront where staff open up and the owner closes from a car.
It also helps when a remote goes missing. The switch still works while a replacement is ordered.
Adding a receiver to an existing shutter
This is the common job. A working motor with only a wall switch takes a receiver without touching the barrel.
The work is at the control end, not the shutter. Expect an isolator, the receiver and a short rewire.
Fitting a rolling shutter tubular receiver
Isolate the supply first. A shutter control line is live mains and deserves the same respect as any other circuit.
Wire the supply in and the motor out, then learn the remotes. Test up, down and stop before closing the box.
Common questions
Which motors does it work with?
Tubular and central motors. Send us the motor model and we will confirm before you order.
Do I still need the wall switch?
No, but most people keep it. A wired switch is a useful backup.
How many remotes will it learn?
It varies by unit. Tell us how many people need one and we will check the capacity, and we stock shutter remotes to pair with it.
Can I fit it to a shutter that already works?
Yes. That is the usual reason people buy one.
