The Nice RBS600 is the newest Robus 600 from Nice: a smart sliding gate motor for gates up to 600 kg, with a 24V DC motor, a magnetic limit switch and a built in control unit with radio receiver. The kit includes two Nice MYGO4 remotes, a pair of EPMB BlueBUS photocells, an ELDC flashing light with antenna, a push button and four nylon rack sections, and it can be set up from a phone with the MyNice Pro app.

It replaces the older Nice RB600. The main changes are the 24V motor, the magnetic limits, BlueBUS wiring and app programming, at the same price.

What is in the Nice RBS600 kit?

This is one of the most complete kits we sell: the EPMB BlueBUS photocells and the ELDC flashing light are both included, so a standard villa gate needs nothing else except fitting. The four rack sections suit a gate opening of about 3 m.

RBS600 technical data

The figures come from the supplier listing and the Nice Robus range brochure. At 0.34 m per second, a 4 m gate opens in about 12 seconds, and 40 cycles an hour is enough for a busy villa or a small compound.

Why a 24V smart sliding gate motor?

All of this makes the RBS600 a smart sliding gate motor rather than a simple one: it adapts to the gate, checks its own safety devices and keeps working when the mains fails.

Magnetic limit switch: no brackets to jam

Older motors such as the RB600 stop at brackets bolted to the rack, which press a lever inside the motor. The RBS600 uses small magnets instead. There is no lever for sand or ants to jam, so the gate stops in the same place every time, which matters at ground level in Oman.

EPMB BlueBUS photocells and the ELDC flashing light

The EPMB BlueBUS photocells connect to the control unit on just two wires. Every BlueBUS device shares those two wires, and the supplier lists up to seven accessories on one line, so extra photocells or a keypad can be added later without new cables.

The ELDC flashing light is an LED light with a built in antenna. It warns drivers and children that the gate is moving, and the antenna improves the range of the MYGO4 remotes. Many kits leave the light out; with the RBS600 the ELDC flashing light is in the box.

Program it with the MyNice Pro app

With a Nice Pro View or BiDi WiFi module, our engineers set up the gate from a phone or tablet with the MyNice Pro app: travel, speed, force, pause time and diagnostics. When you call us about a fault, the MyNice Pro app lets us read the control unit quickly instead of guessing.

How we install the smart sliding gate motor

• We cast a concrete base, level and in line with the gate, with conduits for the cables.
• We fix the motor and set the pinion just below the rack, so the gate weight never rests on the motor.
• We fix the nylon rack and fit the magnets at the open and closed positions.
• We fit the EPMB BlueBUS photocells, the ELDC flashing light and the push button on the two wire line.
• We pair both MYGO4 remotes, run the learning cycle, set the force and pause time, and test the photocells while the gate closes.
