The Nice RBS600HS is the Robus 600HS from Nice: a high speed sliding gate motor for gates up to 600 kg and 8 m long, moving the gate at 0.44 m per second. We sell it as the complete Nice ROBUSKIT 600HS, with two Nice MYGO2 remote controls, an OXI receiver, a pair of EPMB BlueBUS photocells, a flashing light, a push button and four nylon rack sections.

It is the fastest 600 kg kit in our Nice range. A 4 m gate opens in about 9 seconds, so the car does not wait in the street.

What is in the Nice ROBUSKIT 600HS?

Unlike our Nice RB500HS kit, the Nice ROBUSKIT 600HS already includes the flashing light, which matters on a gate that moves this fast. The four rack sections suit a gate opening of about 3 m. For a wider gate, add one metre of rack for each extra metre of opening.

Why a high speed sliding gate motor?

A standard sliding motor moves at about 0.2 to 0.3 m per second. On a busy road, that leaves the car waiting outside with traffic behind it. A high speed sliding gate motor shortens that wait to a few seconds.

The times are worked out from the rated speeds, before the soft start and slowdown at each end, so real times are a little longer. The Robus 600HS suits villas on main roads, compounds with many cars a day, and offices where staff arrive together.

These figures come from the supplier listing. The 24V DC motor gives a soft start and a soft stop at each end, which protects the gate and the rack from the shock of a fast movement.

Robus 600HS or Robus 500 fast: which high speed motor?

Both move at the same speed. The Nice RBS600HS takes 100 kg more, runs on a 24V DC motor and comes with a flashing light, for only OMR 7 more. For a gate between 500 and 600 kg, it is the only high speed sliding gate motor in our Nice range.

Nice MYGO2 remote and EPMB BlueBUS photocells

Each Nice MYGO2 remote has two buttons and pairs to the OXI receiver in the control unit. We can add a Nice MYGO2 remote for every family member or driver, and remove a lost one without changing the others. A spare Nice MYGO2 remote is always in stock at our Muscat shop.

The EPMB photocells connect on Nice BlueBUS: two wires shared by every safety device, which the control unit learns on its own. Extra BlueBUS photocells can be added later on the same two wires, for example to guard the area where the gate slides back.

How we install the Nice ROBUSKIT 600HS

• We cast a concrete base, level and in line with the gate, with conduits for the cables.
• We fix the motor and set the pinion just below the rack, so the gate weight never rests on the motor.
• We fix the nylon rack along the gate and set the open and closed limits.
• We fit the EPMB photocells, the flashing light and the push button on the BlueBUS line.
• We pair each Nice MYGO2 remote, run the learning cycle, set the force and the pause time, and test the photocells.
