Description

The BFT ALENA SW2 is the control board for BFT ATHOS AC swing gate motors, built for 230V single phase and driving one or two operators at up to 400W each. It carries a built in radio receiver and a resistive safety edge input, so most ATHOS AC installations need no extra board.

One thing to check first. This is a 230V AC board, not the 24V THALIA board used on BT models such as KUSTOS or PHOBOS BT.

Read your existing board or the motor’s rating plate before ordering. An AC board will not run a 24V motor and the reverse is also true.

Why a gate that hums or will not learn remotes is usually the board

ATHOS gearboxes generally outlast the electronics. A gate that hums without moving, opens one way only, or has stopped learning remotes is very often this board, not a dead motor. Send us a photo of the existing board and its code, and we will confirm before you spend on a new operator.

Fitting a BFT ATHOS control board is electrician work

This is a bare 230V board. Mains, the operator feed, photocells and the safety edge land on removable terminal blocks that must match the old wiring exactly. We replace these ourselves and test the safety edge and torque limiting under load before handing the gate back.

Not included: enclosure, photocells, safety edge sensor, remotes and mains cabling. These come from accessories, handsets from BFT remotes.

Does the ALENA SW2 fit a 24V BT swing gate motor?

No. It is a 230V AC board and will not run a 24V BT operator. BT models use the THALIA board instead.
