The ACM TITANSIDE 600 is a side mounted rolling shutter motor. It bolts to the end of the roller tube rather than sitting inside it. We stock the ACM TITANSIDE 600 in Oman at our shop in Al Khuwair, Muscat.
Side mounted or central
Both types turn the same barrel. The difference is where the motor sits and what that costs you in space.
A central motor hides inside the tube and needs nothing beside the shutter. A side motor needs room at one end, and gives easier access when something needs adjusting.
Why fitters choose the ACM TITANSIDE 600
Service access is the honest answer. A central motor means dropping the curtain to reach it, and a side unit comes off the end plate.
Heavier curtains suit side mounting too. The drive is not limited by what fits inside the tube.
Space you need beside the shutter
Measure the end of the barrel before ordering. A side motor needs clear room at one side, and a tight reveal can rule it out.
Check the wall or the frame will carry it. The motor hangs off the end plate rather than being supported along the tube.
Fitting the ACM TITANSIDE 600
The drive couples to the barrel shaft and bolts through the end plate. Alignment matters more than on a central motor.
Set the limits once the curtain hangs true. Then test the manual override before the box goes back on.
Retrofitting to an existing shutter
