BFT ZARA BT L2 Control Board Oman, PHOBOS Swing Gate Board
The BFT ZARA BT L2 is the control board for PHOBOS BT A25, PHOBOS BT A40 and the LIBRA swing gate series, driving one or two 24V motors with a built in two channel receiver and D-Track anti crush protection. The 180W per operator figure matches the BFT THALIA board, consistent with a shared maximum rating across BFT’s boards. Supplied and fitted across Oman by Doors Auto.
Description
The BFT ZARA BT L2 is the control board for BFT PHOBOS BT A25, PHOBOS BT A40 and the LIBRA swing gate series, driving one or two 24V motors with a built in two channel receiver and D-Track anti crush protection.
This confirms exactly what our PHOBOS BT A40 page already stated about compatible control units. It also matches the 180W per operator figure already seen on our BFT THALIA page, which suggests 180W is a standard board specification across these BFT units, not a one off figure to question on either page.
BFT PHOBOS BT control board: a confirmed match, not a new question
Where several boards on this site have raised naming or specification conflicts, this one lines up cleanly. ZARA BT L2 fits PHOBOS BT A25 and A40 exactly as those product pages already describe, and the shared 180W figure with THALIA reinforces rather than contradicts what has already been published.
BFT LIBRA swing gate board: a fourth variant, still unbuilt
ZARA BT L2 also serves LIBRA C MA, alongside LIBRA, LIBRA R and LIBRA MA R already noted on the THALIA page. That is now four LIBRA variants referenced across two boards with no LIBRA product page existing on this site. If Doors Auto stocks any of them, that family is worth building once sourced.

Why a PHOBOS BT gate fails at the board before the motors
PHOBOS gearboxes are built for intensive use and generally outlast the electronics. A gate that hums, runs one direction only, or has stopped learning remotes is very often this board, not both motors failing together. Send us a photo of the existing board and its code, and we will confirm before you spend on new operators.
Two motors, one board, and what that means for fault finding
Like THALIA, this board drives both leaves of a double swing gate from one unit. If one leaf stops working and the other keeps running, that actually points away from this board and toward a problem specific to that one motor or its wiring. If both leaves fail together, the board is the more likely cause. Telling your engineer which pattern you are seeing speeds up diagnosis considerably.
D-Track anti crush, and the gap worth confirming
D-Track senses resistance through the motor’s own torque, stopping the gate if it meets unexpected obstruction. That is a genuinely useful built in protection, but it is not the same as a dedicated safety edge or photocell input wired separately. We confirm whether this board carries those terminals before telling a customer their gate has full safety coverage, rather than assume D-Track alone is sufficient on every site.
Fitting a BFT swing gate control board in Oman
This is a bare 230V board feeding two 24V motors, and mains, the motor feeds, photocells and any safety edge land on removable terminal blocks that must match the old wiring exactly. Coastal sites in Sohar, Sur and Salalah need the enclosure seal checked against salt air over time, and inland at Nizwa and Duqm, dust through a poorly sealed cable gland is the more common cause of an intermittent fault that seems to come and go with the weather.
What is included, and what is not

Not included: enclosure, photocells, safety edge sensor, remotes and mains cabling. Remotes from BFT remotes, photocells from Compacta A20 or DESME A15.
BFT control board supply and fitting across Oman
We stock ZARA BT L2 alongside THALIA, RIGEL 6 and ALENA SW2, so a dead PHOBOS BT pair is usually a same week repair rather than two new motors. We cover all eleven governorates: Muscat, Al Batinah North, Al Batinah South, Ad Dakhiliyah, Ash Sharqiyah North, Ash Sharqiyah South, Adh Dhahirah, Al Buraimi, Al Wusta, Dhofar and Musandam.

BFT ZARA BT L2 FAQ
Which motors does the ZARA BT L2 fit?
BFT PHOBOS BT A25, PHOBOS BT A40, and the LIBRA swing gate series, LIBRA, LIBRA R, LIBRA MA R and LIBRA C MA.
Does the ZARA BT L2 have a confirmed safety edge input?
D-Track anti crush is confirmed. A separate safety edge or photocell input is not explicitly stated, so we check the unit directly before confirming full coverage.
Why is the output 180W when my PHOBOS runs cooler than that?
This figure matches the BFT THALIA board exactly, which suggests it is the board’s standard maximum rating per channel rather than the motor’s steady running draw. We confirm actual current draw at commissioning.
What is the BFT ZARA BT L2 price in Oman?
OMR 158.000. In stock, with fitting quoted separately.
Do you fit BFT PHOBOS control boards across Oman?
Yes, in all eleven governorates, with our engineers based in Al Khuwair, Muscat.
