The Nice RB500HS is the Robus 500 fast: a fast sliding gate motor from Nice that moves the gate at 0.44 m per second, about 9 seconds for a 4 m gate. It is a 500 kg sliding gate motor for gates up to 8 m long, and we sell it as a complete Nice Robus kit with remotes, a receiver, photocells, a push button and 4 m of rack.

The four metres of rack in the Nice Robus kit suit a gate opening of about 3 m. For a wider gate, add one metre of rack for each extra metre of opening.

The Robus 500 fast trades force for speed. It moves about 57 percent faster than the RB1000, with less torque, which is why Nice limits it to 500 kg.

How we install the Nice Robus kit
- We cast a concrete base with the foundation plate, level and in line with the gate.
- We fix the motor and set the pinion 1 to 2 mm below the rack, as Nice requires, so the gate weight never rests on the motor.
- We fix the nylon rack along the gate and set the open and close limit switch brackets.
- We fit the photocells, the push button and the OXI receiver, and pair both remotes.
- We run the learning cycle, set the force and the automatic closing time, and test the photocells while the gate closes.
We strongly suggest adding a flashing light with a fast sliding gate motor, so people nearby see that the gate is moving.
