Garage door openers and motors for sectional, up-and-over and rolling doors

We stock belt and chain garage door openers with soft start, obstacle detection and rolling-code remotes, supplied from our shop in Al Khuwair, Muscat and fitted anywhere in Oman by our own engineers. An automatic garage door opener mounts to the ceiling and drives the door along its track — the door’s own springs carry most of the weight, so the motor is sized to the panel area and door type rather than to raw mass.

Choosing a garage door motor

Door type decides the operator more than anything else. Sectional doors run on a curved track and need a straight-pull operator. Up-and-over doors tilt outward and need a bracket that accommodates that arc. Rolling shutter doors need a tubular or side motor instead — those are in our rolling shutter door motors category.

Belt drives are quieter than chain and worth the difference where the garage sits under a bedroom. Chain drives are more tolerant of heat and dust, which matters on a detached or unconditioned garage.

Installation and service across Oman

A standard sectional door opener takes two to three hours to fit. We check the door balances correctly on its springs first — an unbalanced door will destroy any motor you put on it, and no opener is a substitute for a spring adjustment. We then mount the rail, set the travel limits and force, test the obstacle reversal, and pair the remotes.

Heat is the main enemy in an Omani garage. A ceiling-mounted unit sits in the hottest part of the room, so we favour models rated for high ambient temperatures and avoid mounting the control head where afternoon sun reaches it. Usually yes, provided the door is sound and balances properly on its springs. We check both at the survey.

Some models accept a battery backup. All have a manual release cord so you can lift the door by hand.

My garage door opener has stopped working. Can you repair it?
Yes, we service all major brands, including units we did not supply. The common failures are the control board, the capacitor and the limit switches, and we hold all three in Muscat.
