The BFT ATHOS AC A40 is a complete swing gate motor kit for a double leaf gate, each leaf up to 400 kg and 4 metres long. It includes two motors, one built for the left side and one for the right, along with the control board and the accessories needed to commission the gate.

This is the kit version of the ATHOS A40. If you only need to replace one failed motor rather than fit a new gate, order the single ATHOS AC A40 AL or the matching AR unit instead of this kit.

Not included: safety edge and any mains cabling or foundation work at the pillar. A safety edge comes from accessories.

BFT ATHOS AC A40 pillar depth, check both sides before ordering

With a 400mm rod stroke driving each 4 metre leaf to 110 degrees, both pillars need enough depth behind them for the arms to travel their full stroke. This is the same requirement as the single AL and AR motors, doubled here since the kit automates both leaves on the same job.

Measure the depth from each hinge to its inside pillar face and send us both figures along with the leaf weight before ordering. A pillar sized for a shorter leaf, such as the ATHOS AC A25’s 2.5 metres, will very often be too shallow for this 4 metre model.

Does the BFT ATHOS AC A40 come with two motors?

Yes. This kit includes one AL and one AR motor for a complete double leaf gate, along with the control board, photocells, flashing light, remotes and fixing brackets.

What is the price of the BFT ATHOS AC A40 kit in Oman?

What is the difference between the BFT ATHOS AC A40 and the A40 AL?

The plain A40 is the complete two motor kit with the control board and accessories. The A40 AL is a single left side motor only, sold for replacing one failed operator rather than fitting a new gate.

How much pillar depth does the BFT ATHOS AC A40 need?

Enough on both sides for the 400mm rod stroke to drive each 4 metre leaf to its full 110 degree opening. Measure both pillars and send us the figures before ordering.

Is the BFT ATHOS AC A40 stronger than the ATHOS AC A25?

Not in weight capacity. A25 covers 700 kg on a shorter 2.5 metre leaf, while A40 covers 400 kg on a longer 4 metre leaf. Choose by your actual leaf weight and length.
