BFT PCA N3 Boom Rubber Oman, Moovi and Giotto Cover

Description

The BFT PCA N3 is a top and bottom rubber cover profile for BFT Moovi 30, Moovi 60, GIOTTO 30 and GIOTTO 60 barrier booms, fitting lengths of 3 to 5 metres.

One thing is not stated by the manufacturer’s own listing. Whether this cover includes a sensing strip that detects impact, or is a protective and visibility cover only, is unconfirmed. On a boom crossing vehicle and pedestrian space, that distinction matters.

BFT barrier boom cover Oman: cover only, or a safety edge too

Some boom rubbers on the market are purely cosmetic and weatherproofing. Others carry a resistive sensing strip along their length that stops the boom on contact. We open and test the actual unit before fitting rather than assume either, and if it is cover only, we will quote a separate safety edge alongside it where the site needs one.

BFT PCA N3 specification

Why boom rubber wears out and needs replacing

Sun, heat and constant flexing as the boom raises and lowers age rubber faster than most other barrier parts. A cracked, split or faded cover is both a weather seal failure and, if it carries a sensing strip, a potential safety fault, so we check condition on every barrier service visit rather than wait for a visible failure.

What is included, and what is not

• BFT PCA N3 rubber cover profile

Not included: the boom itself, the barrier operator, and a separate safety edge if this cover turns out to be protective only. See the BFT ART 90 Q articulated boom and the full gate barriers range.

BFT PCA N3 FAQ

Does this boom rubber include a safety edge?

Not confirmed by the manufacturer’s listing, so we check the physical unit before fitting. If it is cover only, we quote a separate safety edge where needed.

Which barriers fit the BFT PCA N3?

Moovi 30, Moovi 60, GIOTTO 30 and GIOTTO 60, for booms 3 to 5 metres.

Why does boom rubber need replacing?

Sun, heat and constant flexing age it faster than most barrier parts. A cracked or split cover is a weather seal issue and, if it carries a sensing strip, a possible safety fault.

What is the BFT PCA N3 price in Oman?

OMR 49.000. In stock, with fitting quoted separately.

Do you fit BFT barrier accessories across Oman?

Yes, in all eleven governorates, with our engineers based in Al Khuwair, Muscat.
