The lock body, striker and mounting screws. The power supply, the reader or keypad and the wiring are separate.

Fitting the lock to a gate

The lock mounts on the inside face of the gate leaf. The striker fixes to the post, so the two must stay in line as the gate settles.

Leave the bolt travel slightly generous. A gate that moves in the heat will bind on a lock set too tight.

Common questions

How is this different from the indoor rim lock?
This one has a protective roof and outdoor rated parts. The indoor version costs less but will not last on an exposed gate.

Will one power supply run it?

Can I fit it to a wooden gate?
Usually yes, if the leaf is solid enough to hold the fixings. Metal gates are the more common fit.

Does it work with my automatic gate motor?
It runs independently of the motor. Most controllers can release it from the same reader or intercom.
