BFT RADIUS LED 24V Flashing Light Oman, BT Motor Compatible

Description

The BFT RADIUS LED, model RADIUS LED BT A R1, is a 24V yellow LED flashing warning light with a built in antenna, rated IP44 for permanent outdoor mounting. It fits BFT DEIMOS BT A400, DEIMOS BT A600, ARES BT A1000, ARES BT A1500, KUSTOS BT A25 and KUSTOS BT A40, all gate motors already stocked on this site.

Check one thing before ordering. This is the 24V version. A 230V version exists at the same price for BFT’s AC motors. Fitting the wrong voltage version to a board expecting the other will not work.

BFT warning light 24V or 230V: matching voltage to your gate motor

This split runs through almost every BFT product on this site. BT motors run 24V and accept battery backup. AC motors run 230V mains only. The flashing light has to match whichever board is powering it, not just the brand name on the box.

Read the voltage straight off your control board’s output terminals for the flashing light, not off the motor’s model name alone, since some ranges include both AC and BT variants under similar naming.

BFT RADIUS LED antenna: why a built in aerial genuinely helps

Most flashing lights are purely visual, a warning beacon and nothing more. This one carries a built in antenna, and since a flashing light usually mounts higher and clearer than a control panel tucked inside a shutter box or a gate pillar, that antenna position often receives a stronger signal than the board’s own internal aerial manages alone.

On a site where remote range has been marginal, particularly with a control panel mounted low or behind metalwork, connecting the receiver’s antenna lead to this unit instead of relying on the board’s internal aerial is worth trying before assuming a weak remote signal means a failing handset.

Why a flashing light matters more than decoration

On a gate used by anyone other than the household, staff, delivery drivers, visitors, a working flashing light is a genuine warning that the gate is about to move, not just a feature to tick off a checklist. A flashing light that has stopped working often goes unnoticed for months because the gate still opens and closes normally, right up until someone is standing too close when it moves without the usual visual warning.

We test the flashing light as a standard part of any service visit, not only when it is specifically reported faulty, for exactly that reason.

IP44 and mounting a flashing light outdoors in Oman

IP44 covers splashing water from any direction, which suits a flashing light mounted on a pillar or wall above ground level, where the units in this batch usually sit. Coastal sites in Sohar, Sur and Salalah still benefit from a periodic check of the lens seal against salt air, and inland at Nizwa and Duqm, dust settling on the lens over time dims the flash enough to matter on a bright day, so wiping the lens during routine service keeps it genuinely visible rather than just technically working.

What is included, and what is not

• One BFT RADIUS LED 24V flashing light with built in antenna

Not included: mounting bracket if your gate has none, and the antenna cable run to the control board if routed separately. See accessories, and the BFT sliding gate motor and BFT swing gate motor ranges for the motors this light pairs with.

BFT RADIUS LED FAQ

Is this the 24V or 230V flashing light?

This listing is 24V, for BFT BT motors such as DEIMOS BT, ARES BT and KUSTOS BT. A 230V version exists for AC motors.

Does the built in antenna actually improve remote range?

Often yes, since this light usually mounts higher and clearer than a control panel tucked inside a box or pillar. Connecting the receiver aerial here instead of the board’s internal one is worth trying on a site with marginal range.

Which BFT motors does this flashing light fit?

DEIMOS BT A400, DEIMOS BT A600, ARES BT A1000, ARES BT A1500, KUSTOS BT A25 and KUSTOS BT A40.

What is the BFT RADIUS LED price in Oman?

OMR 16.000. In stock, with fitting quoted separately.

Do you fit BFT flashing lights across Oman?

Yes, in all eleven governorates, with our engineers based in Al Khuwair, Muscat.
