BFT ART 90 Q Articulated Boom Oman, 90 Degree Barrier Joint

Description

The BFT ART 90 Q is an articulated joint that fits BFT Moovi and Giotto barrier booms, letting the boom fold at 90 degrees instead of staying rigid along its full length. It solves a headroom problem, a canopy, a low ceiling or an overhead pipe run above where a straight boom would need to swing.

One trade off comes with it. Fitting this joint caps the clear passage at 4 metres, even on a Moovi 60 that can cover close to 5.8 metres with a straight boom. You gain headroom clearance and give up width.

BFT low headroom barrier Oman: when an articulated boom is worth the trade off

A straight boom needs clear space above it through its whole swing, from horizontal to vertical. Where a canopy, a low ceiling, or overhead services sit close above the barrier, a straight boom either cannot be fitted or has to stop short of vertical. The ART 90 Q folds instead of swinging through that space, so it suits basement or covered car park entrances more than an open compound gate.

If your site has full headroom, a straight boom on the same barrier gives a wider clear passage for less cost, so this accessory earns its place specifically where ceiling height is the constraint, not as a general upgrade.

BFT articulated barrier arm: fitting Moovi and Giotto booms

Confirm your barrier model before ordering, since Moovi 30 and Moovi 60 both exist and the joint needs matching to the boom it will carry.

What is included, and what is not

• BFT ART 90 Q articulated joint

Not included: the boom itself, the barrier operator, and the ALPHA BOM control board if you are also replacing the electronics. See the full gate barriers range.

Fitting an articulated barrier boom in Oman

We survey the headroom on site before quoting this joint, since the whole reason to fit it is a clearance problem the straight boom cannot solve. On a covered car park or basement entrance, we also check for exhaust fume buildup and lighting around the joint, both of which affect a barrier used constantly in an enclosed space more than one standing in the open.

BFT ART 90 Q FAQ

Why would I choose an articulated boom over a straight one?

When headroom above the barrier is limited, a canopy, a low ceiling, or overhead services. A straight boom needs clear space through its full swing, and the articulated joint folds instead.

Does the ART 90 Q reduce the clear passage width?

Yes, to 4 metres, less than a straight boom on the same barrier. Choose it only where headroom is genuinely the constraint.

Which BFT barriers fit the ART 90 Q?

Moovi and Giotto booms. Confirm your exact barrier model before ordering.

What is the BFT ART 90 Q price in Oman?

OMR 159.000. In stock, with fitting quoted separately once we have surveyed the headroom.

Do you fit BFT barrier accessories across Oman?

Yes, in all eleven governorates, with our engineers based in Al Khuwair, Muscat.
