The BFT SHYRA AC BA 230V is a control board for BFT MOOVI parking barriers, running one single phase motor on 220 to 230V, with a built in 433.92 MHz rolling code receiver that stores up to 63 remotes and a dedicated 8K2 safety edge input.

That last point matters more than it looks. Our other MOOVI board, the ALPHA BOM, does not confirm a safety edge input in its own published specification. This one does. If safety edge support is a requirement for your site, that confirmed detail is the deciding factor between the two boards, not price or appearance.

BFT Moovi barrier board Oman: why 63 stored remotes matters on a shared site

A built in receiver storing up to 63 transmitters covers most compound, staff car park or gated community entrances without an external receiver module. Each household, vehicle or staff member gets their own handset, and adding or removing one is a board side operation rather than a separate accessory purchase.

BFT barrier safety edge input, why it is not optional on a vehicle barrier

A boom barrier crosses a lane used by cars, and an 8K2 resistive safety edge is what stops the boom if it contacts a vehicle, a person, or an obstruction during its travel. This differs from obstacle detection built into the motor itself, since a resistive edge senses actual contact along the boom’s length, not just resistance at the drive.

We wire and test the safety edge under load as a mandatory step on every SHYRA AC BA installation, with the boom actually moving and the edge triggered by hand, rather than trust the wiring diagram alone.

Why a Moovi barrier fails before the boom motor does

Barrier gearboxes are mechanically simple and generally outlast the board. A barrier that hums without lifting, will not store new remotes, or has stopped responding to its safety edge is very often this board, not a worn motor or a failing boom joint. Send us a photo of the existing board and its printed code, and tell us the exact symptom, and we will confirm which part actually needs replacing.

A board swap is also the point to check the rest of the barrier. If the boom itself is drifting off level or making noise at the pivot, that points to the rotating plate and arm holder rather than the electronics, and replacing one without checking the other leaves half the job done.
