Description

The CAME AF43S (code 001AF43S) is a plug in radio receiver card for CAME control boards. It receives at 433.92 MHz and lets CAME TOP and TAM fixed code remotes open your gate, garage door or parking barrier. It plugs straight into the radio card slot on the board, with no separate receiver box and no extra wiring.

It works with fixed code remotes only. Rolling code remotes and 868 MHz remotes need a different CAME card, so check the model on your remote before you order.

What does a CAME radio receiver card do?

Most CAME control boards for sliding gates, swing gates, garage doors and barriers have a slot for a radio card, but no radio of their own. The card is the part that listens for your remote. When you press a button, the card receives the signal, checks the code and passes the command to the board, which opens or closes the gate.

Because the card plugs into the board, it takes its power from the board. You do not need a separate receiver, a power supply or an antenna cable for a normal installation, although an external antenna improves the range on a long driveway.

433.92 MHz receiver card: which CAME boards it fits

The AF43S fits CAME control boards that have the plug in radio card slot. Most CAME boards for sliding gates, swing gates, garage doors and barriers have one. Look for the labelled slot on the board, usually near the terminal block, or send us a photo of the board.

How many remotes you can store, and which button does what, depends on the board, not the card.

Signs the radio card has failed

• No remote opens the gate, but the push button or key switch still works
• Remotes work only when you stand right next to the gate
• New remotes will not programme, even with fresh batteries
• The card is burnt, cracked or loose in its slot after a power surge

Before you replace the card, change the remote battery and check the antenna. A flat battery or a broken antenna wire causes most range problems. Our engineers test both before they change the card.

CAME remote programming Muscat: how we fit the card

We switch off the power to the board, because a card plugged in while the board is live can be damaged. We plug the AF43S into the radio card slot and switch the power back on, so the board recognises the card. Then we programme each remote using the procedure for your board, test every button and check the range from the road.

If you have old remotes, we programme those too, as long as they are CAME fixed code remotes at 433.92 MHz. We can also supply spare remotes, so every family member or tenant has one.

Range, heat and power surges in Oman

Gate boards in Oman sit in hot, dusty cabinets, and summer storms bring power surges. These hit radio cards hardest.

The card works from minus 20 to plus 55°C, but a cabinet in direct summer sun can pass that inside. Shade makes a difference.
