The CAME RE432M (code CAME 001RE432M) is an external gate receiver: a two channel receiver at 433.92 MHz in its own IP54 surface mount box. It stores up to 250 users, runs on 12 to 24V AC/DC, and this CAME receiver lets CAME remotes and keypads open a gate, garage door or barrier, even when the control board has no radio of its own.

Unlike a plug in card, this CAME receiver works outside the control board and switches its outputs like a push button. That makes it the usual answer for adding CAME remotes to almost any automation.

What is an external gate receiver, and when do you need one?

Most CAME control boards take a plug in radio card. An external gate receiver does the same job from its own box, mounted on the wall or the pillar, and connected to the board like a push button. You need one in these cases:

Two channel receiver: what the second channel does

A two channel receiver has two separate outputs, each linked to remote buttons you choose. The first channel usually opens and closes the main gate. The second can control something else:

• A pedestrian or partial opening of the same gate
• A second gate or a garage door on the same site
• Courtyard or driveway lights
• A barrier next to the gate

With one CAME 001RE432M and a four button remote, a family can open the main gate on one button and the garage door on another.

CAME RE432M or the AF43S card: which CAME receiver to choose

If you have a CAME board with a free card slot and fixed code remotes, the AF43S costs less. For anything else, the CAME RE432M is the safer choice.

How we fit the CAME 001RE432M external gate receiver

• We mount the receiver where the signal is clear, away from the metal of the cabinet and the gate.
• We power it from the 12 to 24V AC/DC supply of the control board.
• We connect the first channel to the open input of the board, and the second channel to the function you choose.
• Where range matters, we add the CAME TOP-A433N antenna on an RG58 cable, mounted high.
• We store each remote and keypad, test both channels, and check the range from the road.

We also keep a list of the remotes stored, so a lost remote can be deleted without wiping everyone else.
