The BFT HAMAL 400 control board is the genuine replacement circuit board for a BFT DEIMOS BT A400 sliding gate motor. If your DEIMOS A400 hums, runs one way only, has stopped learning remotes, or has simply died after years of Omani sun, this board is very often the actual fault rather than the gearbox.

It is built for the A400 specifically. Fitting it to any other DEIMOS carries no guarantee it will run correctly, and BFT does not design its boards to be interchangeable across the range on the assumption that the name matches.

DEIMOS BT A400 control board compatibility, and where the confusion starts

BFT names its HAMAL boards after the operator they serve. This board carries the code I700008 10001, part 2610700, and it is built for the DEIMOS BT A400 only.

• DEIMOS BT A600 uses the HAMAL 600 board, a different unit
• DEIMOS ULTRA BT A600 uses the MERAK SL2 board, not a HAMAL board at all
• ARES A1000 and A1500 use the HAMAL ARES board

What the BFT HAMAL 400 control board does on your gate

D-Track and the 8K2 input are what make the gate stop rather than crush, so both need setting and testing under load at commissioning, not left on factory default.

Wiring a BFT gate motor control board is electrician work

This is a bare 230V board, not a swap in accessory. Mains, the 24V operator feed, photocells, the safety edge and the receiver all land on removable terminal blocks that have to be matched to the old board’s wiring, and a miswired safety input can leave a gate that looks armed but is not.

We replace these ourselves, testing D-Track sensing and the safety edge with the gate under load before we hand it back, rather than leaving a working looking board that has not actually been proved safe.

BFT HAMAL 400 control board FAQ

Will the BFT HAMAL 400 control board fit my DEIMOS BT A600?

No. This board is built for the DEIMOS BT A400 only. The A600 uses the HAMAL 600 control board, and the ULTRA A600 uses a different board again, the MERAK SL2.

Does the BFT HAMAL 400 control board include photocells or a safety edge?

No. It has the inputs for them, an 8K2 safety edge terminal and photocell terminals, but the devices themselves are ordered separately.

Can I fit a BFT DEIMOS control board myself?

We do not recommend it. This is a 230V mains board with safety critical inputs, and a wrongly wired safety edge or D-Track setting can leave a gate that looks safe but is not.

How do I know if my DEIMOS BT A400 needs a new control board?
