Tubular, central, or side — which motor fits your shutter

A tubular motor slides inside the roller tube itself, so nothing is visible once it’s installed — the trade-off is that the tube has to be the right internal diameter to take it. A side motor bolts externally to the end of the barrel instead, which is easier to retrofit onto an odd-sized tube but takes up space at the end of the shutter box.
