The Nice TUB 4000 (model Nice TUB4000) is a 4000 kg sliding gate motor for the largest industrial gates: a 400V sliding gate motor running on three phase power, with the Nice D-PRO 500 control unit built in. It is sold as a kit with an OXIBD receiver, an ELAC flashing light with antenna, a pair of EPM photocells, two FLO2R remotes and a push button, and it is programmed with the Nice O-View.

What is in the Nice TUB 4000 kit?

The rack is not part of the kit. A gate of several tonnes needs a heavy steel rack, which we supply and fit to suit the gate.

Nice TUB4000 technical data

These figures come from the supplier listing of the Nice data. IP54 gives better protection against dust and water than the IP44 of most home motors, which matters on a dusty industrial site. At 0.16 m per second, an 8 m gate opens in about 50 seconds.

A 400V sliding gate motor: check your supply first

The Nice TUB 4000 runs on three phase power at 400V. Most factories, warehouses and ports in Oman have a three phase supply, but many villas and small compounds do not.

Before we quote a 400V sliding gate motor, our engineer checks the supply on site, so there are no surprises on installation day.

Electromechanical brake and self ventilation

A gate of four tonnes keeps moving after the motor stops. The TUB 4000 has an electromechanical brake that removes that inertia, so the gate stops exactly where it should and does not hit the end stops. That protects the gate, the rack and the motor on every cycle.

The motor is also self ventilated, which raises the work cycle to 42 cycles an hour, and its gears are metal and bronze, built for heavy industrial loads. A lever release lets staff move the gate by hand, quickly and safely, during a power cut.

The Nice D-PRO 500 control unit and the Nice O-View

The Nice D-PRO 500 control unit is an industrial board built into the TUB 4000. It drives the three phase motor and the brake, reads the photocells and handles every kind of command: remotes, push buttons, key selectors and access control.

With the Nice O-View programmer, our engineers set and check the Nice D-PRO 500 directly: travel, force, pause time and diagnostics. On a site where the gate is critical, the Nice O-View lets us find a fault quickly instead of guessing.

How we install a 4000 kg sliding gate motor

• We survey the gate and the supply: wheels, track, guides and end stops must carry the weight, and three phase power must reach the gate.
• We cast a reinforced concrete base for the 60 kg motor, level and in line with the gate.
• We fix the motor and a heavy steel rack, with the pinion set just below the rack.
• We connect the three phase supply, and fit the EPM photocells, ELAC light and push button.
• We program the Nice D-PRO 500 with the Nice O-View, set the brake, force and pause, and test every photocell while the gate closes.
