Access Control Panel in Oman | Single Door Card Entry Controller
A door access control panel that stores your card list and releases the lock when a valid credential is presented. Check the card frequency matches before you order — a 125 kHz panel will not read a 13.56 MHz card. You will also need a lock, a power supply and an exit button. In stock in Muscat.
Description
An access control panel is the unit that decides who gets through a door. It stores the card numbers, reads a credential and releases the lock. We stock the access control panel in Oman at our shop in Al Khuwair, Muscat.
What an access control panel does
It holds a list of valid cards or codes. When a credential is presented, the panel checks the list and closes a relay if the answer is yes.
That relay is what drops the lock. Everything else on the door hangs off that one decision.
Check the card frequency before you buy
This is the question to settle first. A panel built for 125 kHz will not read a 13.56 MHz card, and the reverse is also true.
Send us the cards you already hold and we will confirm the match. Getting this wrong means new cards for every user.
Where an access control panel is used
Office suites, clinics, warehouses and apartment lobbies. Any door where you need to know who has a key and be able to take it back.
Deleting a lost card takes seconds. Recutting a mechanical key for every staff member does not.
What you need to build a working door
The panel, a lock, a power supply and an exit button inside. Cards or fobs for each user complete it.
Most single door jobs need nothing else. Add a door contact only if you also want forced or held open alarms.
Standalone or networked
A standalone panel keeps its user list on the door and needs no computer. You add and delete cards at the panel itself.
That suits one door or a handful. Once you pass ten doors, central software starts to earn its cost.
Common questions
Does it read the RFID cards you sell?
Send us both and we will confirm before you order. Frequency has to match or nothing reads at all.
How many users will it hold?
Panels vary widely. Tell us your staff number and we will check the capacity first.
Does it need a separate power supply?
Usually yes. The panel and the lock together draw more than most small supplies deliver.
Can I run it without a computer?
Yes on a standalone panel. Programming happens at the keypad using a master card or code.
