An all in one panel puts the reader and the decision in one box on the wall outside. Simpler, cheaper, and the release wiring sits on the unsecured side.

A controller keeps the decision inside and sends only card numbers out. That is the professional arrangement and the reason this costs more.

What a 1 door access controller needs

Readers, a lock, a power supply and an exit button. The controller itself is the brain and nothing else.

Most units take two readers, so you can have card in and card out. Ask us before you buy if you want both.

Server rooms, offices, clinics and stock rooms. Any single door where the record of who entered matters.

It also suits a first door on a site that will grow. Later doors get their own controller on the same network.

Mount the board inside, wire the readers back to it, then connect the lock and exit button. Power it from its own supply.

Count your doors before you choose. Adding a second door later means a second controller, not an upgrade to this one.
