Access Control 2 Doors Controller in Oman | Two Doors, One User List
A two door access control board with one shared user list. Add a card once and it works on both doors, which two separate controllers cannot do. It costs less than two single boards and needs one enclosure instead of two. Readers, locks, power supply and exit buttons are separate. In stock in Muscat.
Description
A 2 door access controller runs two doors from one board. Both doors share a single user list, so a card added once works on either. We stock the 2 door access controller in Oman at our shop in Al Khuwair, Muscat.
Cheaper than two single boards
Two single door controllers cost more than this one. You also get one board to wire, one network address and one user list instead of two.
The saving grows on site. Fewer enclosures, less cable back to the rack, and half the commissioning time.
One user list across both doors
This is the real gain over separate boards. Add a staff member once and they work on both doors straight away.
Removing a leaver is the same. One deletion closes both doors rather than two jobs on two systems.
What a 2 door access controller needs
Readers, locks, a power supply and exit buttons. Two doors means two of each, not two of the controller.
Check the supply first. Two locks pulling together need more current than one, so size for both.
Where a 2 door access controller is used
Small offices with a front and back door. Clinics with a reception and a treatment area.
It also suits a main entrance with card in and card out. That uses both reader inputs on one door rather than two doors.
Setting up a 2 door access controller
Wire each door back to its own terminals on the board. Label the cables at both ends before you start.
Prove one door end to end before touching the second. Two half finished doors are much harder to fault find.
Common questions
Is it cheaper than buying two single controllers?
Yes, and by a useful margin. You also save on enclosures, cable and commissioning time.
Do both doors share the same users?
Yes. One list covers both, which is the main reason to choose this over separate boards.
Can I use it for one door with two readers?
Often yes, giving card in and card out. Confirm the wiring with us before you order.
Do I need two power supplies?
Not always, but check the total load. Two locks and two readers draw more than a small supply delivers.
