A flashing light with antenna: better remote range

CAME lists the KRX1FXSW for 433 MHz and 868 MHz, the two frequencies CAME remotes use, and a CAME retailer describes it as having a built in dual antenna. The light sits high on the pillar, clear of the gate and the walls, so its antenna usually reaches much further than one fixed inside the motor cover.

To connect it to the radio card on the board, CAME offers a 5 m RG58 antenna cable, the 001TOP-RG58, sold separately. How we fit the CAME KRX1FXSW gate warning lamp

• We choose a spot seen from the road and from inside the property, usually the top of the pillar on the motor side.
• We fix the light to the pillar top, or to a wall with the CAME 806LA-0040 base.
• We run the power cable and the RG58 antenna cable from the board in conduit, out of the sun.
• We connect the light to the lamp output of the board, at 24V or 230V.
• We connect the antenna to the radio card and test the range of your remotes from the road.
• We run a full open and close cycle to check the flashing.
