Description
The Nice Robo 600 (model Nice ROBO600) is a 600 kg sliding gate motor from Nice, sold as a complete Nice gate motor kit: the motor with its built in Nice ROA41 control unit, two ON2E remotes, an OXI receiver, a pair of EPM photocells, a flashing light, a push button and four nylon rack sections. It runs on 230V AC, draws 300 W and is rated IP44.

Unlike many kits, this Nice gate motor kit already includes the photocells and the flashing light, so a standard villa gate needs nothing else except fitting.

The four nylon rack sections in the Nice gate motor kit cover a gate opening of about 3 m. For a wider gate, add one metre of rack for each extra metre of opening.

The Nice ROA41 control unit and the remotes
The Nice ROA41 control unit sits inside the motor and runs the whole gate: it reads the photocells, drives the flashing light, takes the push button and the OXI receiver, and can close the gate automatically after a pause. The OXI receiver pairs with the two ON2E remotes in the kit, and we can add more Nice remotes for every family member.
Because the Nice ROA41 is built in, there is no separate control box to mount on the wall, which keeps the installation tidy and protects the electronics inside the motor housing.
How we install the Nice Robo 600
- We cast a concrete base, level and in line with the gate, with conduits for the cables.
- We fix the motor and set the pinion just below the rack, so the gate weight never rests on the motor.
- We fix the nylon rack along the gate and set the open and close limits.
- We fit the photocells across the gateway, the flashing light on the pillar and the push button inside.
- We pair both ON2E remotes, run the learning cycle, set the force and the automatic closing time, and test the photocells.
