The Nice RUN1800 is an 1800 kg sliding gate motor from the professional Nice RUN series, sold as a complete kit with the Nice RUA1 control unit, two Nice ON2E remote controls, an OXI receiver, a pair of photocells, a flashing light and a push button. It is a 230V commercial sliding gate motor for the largest villa gates, compounds, warehouses and factories in Oman.
Where a home motor would strain, this commercial sliding gate motor runs on ball bearings with a die cast aluminium base, built for heavy gates and intensive daily use.

The power, thrust and life figures come from the Nice RUN manual, and the rest from the supplier listing. Nice gives the life as an estimate, which falls on sites with heat, sand and heavy use, so we size the motor with margin.
The Nice RUA1 control unit
The Nice RUA1 control unit sits inside the motor and gives the RUN1800 the functions a large site needs:

The partial opening is useful on a wide compound gate: a guard or a resident on foot gets through without the whole gate moving. With the Nice RUA1 control unit, the master and slave function also handles a very wide entrance with two gates meeting in the middle.
Nice ON2E remote and OXI receiver
Each Nice ON2E remote has two buttons, paired to the OXI receiver that plugs into the control unit. For compounds and offices we add a Nice ON2E remote for every resident or driver, and remove a lost one without changing the others. More receivers, keypads or a key selector can be added for staff.

How we install the commercial sliding gate motor
- We check the gate first: wheels, track, top guides and end stops must be sound before a motor goes on a heavy gate.
- We cast a reinforced concrete base, level and in line with the gate, with conduits for the cables.
- We fix the motor and a steel rack, with the pinion set just below the rack so the gate weight never rests on the motor.
- We set the electromechanical limit switches, and fit the photocells, flashing light and push button.
- We pair the ON2E remotes, set the partial opening and pause time on the RUA1, and test the photocells while the gate closes.
