The BFT Mitto 2 channel remote, model MITTO B RCB02 R1, is a two button handset that opens and closes a BFT gate or barrier on 433 MHz with rolling code security. It runs on one 12V battery and reaches 50 to 100 metres, depending on the site.

BFT Mitto remote control, rolling code and why it will not copy

Every press sends a new code, and the receiver accepts only the next code in the sequence it expects. That stops someone recording your signal and replaying it at the gate.

Two results follow. A universal remote that clones fixed code handsets cannot copy a Mitto, and a receiver that understands only fixed code will not accept one. Both are the security working as designed, not a fault in the remote.

A new Mitto must be memorised by the receiver or control board, using the learning steps for that board. Our engineers do this on site, and we will explain the steps if you prefer to do it yourself.

Can a universal remote copy a BFT Mitto remote control?
