Access Control 4 Doors Controller in Oman | Four Doors, One System
A four door access control board with one shared user list. The cost per door is the lowest in the range — well under a single door board — and you can leave doors unwired until you need them. Each door has its own output, so magnetic locks and strikes can be mixed. Readers, locks, exit buttons and power are separate. In stock in Muscat.
Description
A 4 door access controller runs four doors from one board and one user list. It is the point where a site stops being a few doors and starts being a system. We stock the 4 door access controller in Oman at our shop in Al Khuwair, Muscat.
The cost per door drops sharply
This is the cheapest way to control four doors by a wide margin. Four single boards cost far more, and two double boards still cost more than this one.
The saving is not only the board. One enclosure, one network address, one set of commissioning time.
Start with two doors and grow into four
You do not have to wire all four on day one. Fit the doors you need now and leave the spare terminals free.
That is the usual reason to buy this rather than a two door board. Adding a fifth door later means a second controller, so leave headroom.
What a 4 door access controller needs
Readers, locks, exit buttons and enough power for all of them. Four doors means four of each.
Power is where four door jobs go wrong. Four locks pulling together is well beyond a small supply, so plan the supplies before the board.
Mixing door types on one board
Each door is independent, so they do not have to match. A magnetic lock on the main entrance and an electric strike on an office door is normal.
Only the wiring differs per door. The user list and the reports stay common across all four.
Where a 4 door access controller is used
Office floors, clinics, warehouses and school buildings. Any site with four doors that need the same staff list.
It also suits a first phase on a larger site. Further controllers join the same network as the building grows.
Common questions
Is it cheaper per door than the smaller boards?
Much cheaper. The price per door drops by more than a third against a single door board.
Do I have to use all four doors?
No. Wire what you need and leave the rest for later.
Can I mix magnetic locks and strikes?
Yes. Each door has its own output, so the lock type is your choice per door.
What if I need more than four doors?
Add a second controller on the same network. The software treats them as one system.
