Description

The BFT MERAK is the control board for ARES Ultra BT A1000 and A1500 sliding gate motors. It is not the same board as MERAK SL2, which fits DEIMOS Ultra BT A600, despite the shared family name.

One figure is worth checking before you buy. The published output is 24V, 80W, the same figure quoted for the much lighter HAMAL boards on our site. That does not scale with a motor class rated to 1500 kg, and we flag rather than restate it.

BFT ARES Ultra control board: why the board fails before the gearbox

ARES gearboxes are built for constant cycling and generally outlast the board. A gate that hums, runs one direction only, or has stopped learning remotes is very often this board, not the motor. Send us a photo of the existing board and its code, and we will confirm before you spend on a new operator.

Is BFT MERAK the same board as MERAK SL2?

No. MERAK fits ARES Ultra BT A1000 and A1500. MERAK SL2 fits DEIMOS Ultra BT A600. Confirm the full name on the unit before ordering.

Is the 80W output correct for a 1500 kg ARES motor?

It is the manufacturer’s published figure, but it matches the smaller HAMAL boards used on much lighter motors, so we verify it against the physical unit before confirming it for this duty class.

My ARES gate will not move. Do I need a new motor?

Usually not. A gate that hums, runs one direction only, or has stopped learning remotes is very often the board. Send us a photo and the code on it.
