Description
The CAME TOP-A433N antenna is a radio frequency antenna on 433.92 MHz that extends the range of CAME remote controls for gates, barriers and garage doors. It suits household, community and industrial use. It works with receivers that run on 433.92 MHz and have an antenna input.
One point comes first. An antenna helps only a receiver that has an antenna input and runs on the same frequency, so we check yours before you buy. It will not help a Somfy, BFT or Nice receiver on another frequency.
CAME TOP-A433N antenna price in Oman and what you are buying
Price: OMR 15.000, in stock at our Muscat shop. Fitting is quoted separately when you ask for it.
The antenna is a single part. The listing does not state the box contents, the cable or the connector. Ask us what comes with it, and we show you the antenna at the counter before you pay. If your receiver needs a cable, we quote it with the antenna.
What a CAME gate antenna does for your remote range
A remote control sends a weak radio signal. The receiver in a gate motor sits inside a housing, often metal, beside a wall or a pillar, and that housing blocks much of the signal. An external antenna moves the point where the signal is received out into the open, higher and clear of metal.
The result is a longer reliable range and fewer missed presses. It does not make the remote stronger. It lets the receiver hear it better.
When a CAME antenna is the fix, and when it is not
A remote that has lost range is not always an antenna problem. Check the cheap faults first.
| What you see | Try this first |
|---|---|
| The remote works only close to the gate | The remote battery, then the antenna |
| It worked until you added a wall or a sheet | The antenna position |
| One remote is weak, others are fine | That remote’s battery or the remote itself |
| No remote works, even close | The receiver, not the antenna |
| The gate opens by itself or twice | Radio noise or the receiver, call us |
If you are not sure, send us a short video of the gate and the position of your motor. We say whether an antenna is the answer.
CAME receivers that suit the TOP-A433N antenna
CAME lists the antenna for receivers on 433.92 MHz, and does not name specific models. Our CAME kits that use a 433.92 MHz radio card, such as the AF43S, list this antenna or an antenna cable in the box.
| Your receiver | Will the TOP-A433N help? |
|---|---|
| A CAME receiver or radio card on 433.92 MHz with an antenna input | Yes, we confirm the connector |
| A CAME board with a built in aerial and no input | No, there is nothing to connect |
| A CAME receiver on another frequency | No |
| Somfy, BFT or Nice | No, a different system and often a different frequency |
CAME kits that already include an antenna
Several kits we list already come with an antenna, so you do not need a second one. The CAME BXV04AGS and the CAME BKV15AGS list a TOP-A433N antenna with a 5 m cable. The CAME BXV06AGS and the CAME BXV08AGS list a 5 m antenna cable.
Buy the antenna on its own when you want a spare, a replacement for a damaged one, or a second antenna in a better position. See all CAME sliding gate motors.
Where to fit a CAME antenna on your gate
The antenna works best high, in the open and away from metal. A pillar top or a wall above the gate is usually better than the motor housing. It should have a clear line toward the places you press the remote.
- High enough to clear parked cars and the gate leaf
- Clear of metal sheets and the gate frame
- Close enough to the receiver for a short cable run
- Out of reach of casual damage
The cable from the antenna to the receiver must not be kinked, trapped or cut. Our engineers route it and seal the entry.
Sun, heat and sand: a CAME antenna in Oman
An outdoor antenna in Oman sits in direct sun, heat and blown sand. The listing gives no IP rating or temperature range, so we do not quote either. We mount it where rain and splashing cannot pool in the connector, and we seal the cable entry. Check it once a year, because a cracked cable or a corroded connector cuts range as surely as a missing antenna.
What the listing does not publish, and what we confirm
| What we confirm | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Connector and cable | Decides whether it fits your receiver |
| Your receiver’s frequency | Decides whether it helps at all |
| The antenna’s gain and size | Decides the gain you can expect |
| Warranty that applies in Oman | The supplier lists 3 years for its own market |
