CAME TOP44FGN Gate Barrier Remote Control Oman, 4 Channel 433.92 MHz

Description

The CAME TOP44FGN is a four channel remote control on 433.92 MHz for CAME TOP, TAM, TWIN and TTS gate barriers. It uses a fixed code with a self learning function, a polycarbonate case and an operating range of minus 20 to plus 55°C. It is sold as a replacement or an additional transmitter for an existing CAME system.

One point comes first. It pairs only with CAME barrier receivers on 433.92 MHz, so we check your barrier and its frequency before you buy. And it uses a fixed code, which is easier to copy than a rolling code.

CAME TOP44FGN model code and what it is for

The supplier lists the model as TOP44FGN, and sells it as a gate barrier remote. The four in the name points to four channels. We read the code printed on the remote when you collect it, so you know exactly which handset you have.

• One CAME TOP44FGN remote control

The listing does not name the battery type or say whether a battery is fitted, so we show you the remote and its cell when you collect it, and tell you which spare to keep.

Which CAME gate barriers use the TOP44FGN

CAME lists the handset for four barrier series. It names no specific receiver, so we check yours.

See our gate barriers and the CAME sliding gate motors.

Four channels on a CAME gate barrier remote

A four channel handset has four independent buttons, and each can be taught to a different function or a different barrier. A site with an entry and an exit barrier can run both from one handset, or give the guard house a separate button for each.

Every button you pair takes one place in that receiver’s memory. Tell us how many people use the barrier and we will say whether the memory is enough.

Fixed code with self learning on the CAME TOP44FGN

A fixed code handset sends the same signal each time. The self learning function lets the receiver learn that signal from the handset, so there are no switches to set. The drawback is security. Someone with the right equipment could record and replay a fixed code, which a rolling code resists.

For a car park with a simple barrier, fixed code is common and often enough. For a site where unauthorised entry matters, we suggest a rolling code handset and a receiver that accepts it. We tell you plainly which you are getting.

433.92 MHz or 868.35 MHz: matching the frequency

CAME sells this style of handset on two frequencies, and the two cannot talk to each other. This one is 433.92 MHz. The supplier also lists a TOP handset on 868.35 MHz. Read the frequency on your receiver or your old remote before you buy.

CAME TOP44FGN, TOP42FGN or TOP43FGN: how to choose

The FGN handsets differ mainly in the number of buttons. The listing does not say more.

Choose by how many functions you need. A single gate with one button needs the two button handset. A site with several barriers or functions needs the four.

Programming and copying a CAME barrier remote in Muscat

A new handset must be taught to the receiver before it works. The listing describes the TOP44FGN as self learning with easy programming, and gives no steps. Our engineers programme it in the shop or on site, and copy it from an old CAME remote where the two match.

If you have no working remote, the receiver can be put into learning mode. Bring the old remote if you have one.

Polycarbonate case and the CAME TOP44FGN in Omani heat

The case is polycarbonate, and the listing gives an operating range of minus 20 to plus 55°C. A remote left on a car dashboard in summer can go above that, and the battery loses life faster. Keep it in a bag or a visor clip, out of direct sun. A guard house in full sun deserves a cooler spot too. Weak range or a button that works only sometimes usually means a tired battery, so replace the cell first.
