Description
The Nice Robus 400 (kit code Nice RB400BDKCE) is a 24V sliding gate motor from Nice, sold as a complete kit. As a 400 kg sliding gate motor, it suits gates up to 400 kg and 8 m long. The Nice RB400 has its control unit and OXI receiver built in, and comes with two remotes, a pair of BlueBUS photocells and an LED flashing light with its own antenna, so a light villa gate has everything it needs in one box.
The Nice Robus 400 is the lowest priced Nice kit we stock, and the only one in our Nice range with a 24V motor and BlueBUS wiring.

Why a 24V sliding gate motor?
The Nice RB400 runs from 230V mains, but the motor itself works at 24V. A 24V sliding gate motor has real advantages for a home gate:

For the Oman summer, that temperature sensing matters: the control unit adapts as the motor heats up, instead of cutting out at the hottest time of day.
BlueBUS photocells: two wires for all safety devices
BlueBUS is Nice’s system for connecting photocells and other safety devices on just two wires. Every BlueBUS photocells pair, and other BlueBUS devices, share the same two wire cable back to the control unit, and the board learns each one automatically.
- Less cable to run and fewer connections to fail.
- Extra BlueBUS photocells can be added later on the same two wires, for example to guard the area the gate slides into.
- The control unit checks the photocells before every movement.
BlueBUS photocells only work with a BlueBUS board, so if you add more later, ask us for BlueBUS models.

How we install the Nice RB400 24V sliding gate motor
- We cast a concrete base, level and in line with the gate, with conduits for the cables.
- We fix the motor and set the pinion just below the rack, so the gate weight never rests on the motor.
- We fix the rack along the gate and set the limits.
- We fit the BlueBUS photocells across the gateway and the flashing light on the pillar, all on the BlueBUS two wire line.
- We pair both remotes, run the learning cycle so the board finds every device, and test the photocells while the gate closes.
