Description

The Somfy Elixo control board for the Elixo 500 and Elixo 800 is the replacement board for the 230V RTS versions of those motors. It runs a 230V AC motor from a 220 to 230V supply, speaks Somfy RTS on 433.42 MHz, and takes both photocell and safety edge inputs.

One check decides everything. Somfy sells a **24V Elixo 500**, the 3S version, and this board does not fit it. Read the motor plate before you order.

Somfy Elixo 24V or 230V: which board fits your motor

The Elixo name covers motors with different electrics, and the board follows the motor, not the name.

If the plate on your motor says 24V, or you are unsure which Elixo you have, send us a photo before you order. A board built for one voltage will not run a motor built for the other.

Somfy Elixo board replacement: why the board fails before the motor

Gearboxes on these operators are mechanically simple and tend to outlast the electronics. The board carries the mains, the radio receiver and every safety input, so heat, damp and voltage spikes reach it first.

Somfy RTS control board Oman: 128 channels and your existing handsets

The board remembers up to 128 channels, which is enough for a large household or a compound. Somfy RTS handsets typically use one channel per button. Handsets already memorised on the old board are lost when the board changes, so every handset must be memorised again.

Somfy RTS transmits on 433.42 MHz with its own rolling code. BFT, Nice and Came handsets cannot pair with it, so a new board never fixes a handset problem on a different brand.

Safety inputs on a replacement board

The board accepts photocells and a safety edge. Fitting the board is only half the job. Each safety device must be wired to the right terminal and tested with the gate moving, because a miswired photocell leaves a gate that looks protected but is not.

We test every input under power before we hand a gate back. A gate that stops when you wave a hand is not proven safe for a vehicle.

Fitting a Somfy gate board is electrician work

This is a bare mains board. The supply, the motor feed, the photocells and the safety edge land on terminals that must match the old wiring. We replace boards on site and set limits, speeds and handsets afterwards.

Heat is the board enemy in Oman. An enclosure baking in direct Muscat or Nizwa sun runs hotter inside than its rating assumes, so we check ventilation and shade on every swap. Coastal sites in Sohar, Sur and Salalah add salt through any gap in a cable gland, and inland at Duqm blown dust settles on open terminals.

Does this board fit the Somfy Elixo 500 3S?

No. The 3S is a 24V DC motor, and this board is for the 230V versions only. Read the voltage on the motor plate, or send us a photo.

Which Somfy Elixo motors use this control board?

The Elixo 500 230V RTS and the Elixo 800 230V RTS. It is not listed for the Elixo 2000 or for 24V models.

Do I need new handsets after changing the board?

Yes. Handsets memorised on the old board are lost, so every handset must be memorised again. Somfy RTS handsets work, and BFT, Nice and Came handsets do not.

What is the Somfy Elixo control board price in Oman?

My Elixo gate will not move. Do I need a new motor?

Usually not. A gate that does not move, runs one way only, or has stopped learning handsets is very often the board. Send us a photo and the fault.
